Een ziekenhuiscampus met een groot aanpassingsvermogen

Het AZ Delta in Rumbeke is de nieuwe hoofdcampus van de gelijknamige ziekenhuisgroep. De nieuwbouw werd in juni 2020 in gebruik genomen. Rumbeke vervangt twee voormalige sites in het centrum van Roeselare. Opvallend daarbij is dat
in het oorspronkelijke concept de fusie tussen twee ziekenhuizen (waaruit AZ Delta is ontstaan) niet ingecalculeerd was. Niet de enige onverwachte wending, maar het woord ‘flexibel’ stond vanaf de ontwerpfase in hoofdletters op de dossiermap. Een
dubbelgesprek met Directeur Infrastructuur en Technieken Herman Annaert en Sabien Cailliau (Manager Bouw en Infrastructuur).

Twee winters lang kampte kinderdagverblijf Bambi met opvallend veel zieke kinderen en medewerkers. Het team van verantwoordelijke An Derijck stond voor een raadsel. Allerhande maatregelen, zoals het gebruiken van andere ontsmettingsproducten of het aanpassen van de HVAC-regeling, brachten geen zoden aan de dijk. De boosdoener bleek uiteindelijk de lage luchtvochtigheid die veroorzaakt werd door de combinatie van ventilatiesysteem D met de vloerverwarming.

Gecontroleerde luchtbevochtiging resulteert in minder ziekte

- Space-saving design for ease of installation and placement flexibility: All LX series humidifiers feature a small footprint for easy installation in crowded mechanical rooms, with a wall mounting option for 50 and 75 lbs/hr models for even more placement flexibility. For installing outdoors, there is a climate-controlled outdoor enclosure option available.
